Saturday Sampler Workshops For
Adults and Teens
(ages 15+)
Spend Saturday mornings in our beautiful light filled studio,
learning a new skill and creating a work of art. Most of
our sampler classes are excellent introductory sessions
for our three or six week adult and teen classes. Sign up
for one sampler or do an entire series. Sign up with a friend
for even more fun.
Please note: our samplers
are held at our new location: Davis Studio Gallery, 404
Pine Street. Between Fresh Market and Speeder and Earls,
in the SEABA Offices.

Play with paint, explore color mixing, and discover
tools to use to create various effects. This is a
perfect class for beginning painters, even those new
to art of any kind. You will have the opportunity
to complete a small painting on canvas. You can make
either an abstract or representational painting.

Pretend to be British Royalty for a day and learn to
make a Fabulous Felted Fascinator. Learn how make dry
felted floral accents as well as sew fabric flowers,
and complete your millinery embellishments with beads,
buttons, feathers and more. Learn tricks to make your
fascinator positively fascinating. British accents welcome
though not required. |

You will be surprised how simple
it is to achieve amazing results working with glass
we fire in a kiln. Using glass as our canvas, with
a quick consideration of some basic elements of design,
students will learn to cut sheets of glass and assemble
a simple 8" x 8" glass project, either flat
or slumped into a mold to form a bowl.
***Note: Project must be picked up after firing.

Create your own terra cotta planter
for herbs or flowers. We will use slabs or thin sheets
of clay to hand build our pieces. We will press herbs
and stamps into our pieces to add textures and enhance
our pieces. Each student will be able to make a custom
designed planter while learning some hand building
techniques during the process.
***Note: Pieces will be fired in a kiln and picked
up at a later date.
