Countdown 'til Christmas! Create a magical gift to mail out
early, or surprise your own family with this handmade treasure.
Think winter forests, wildlife, Vermont villages, snowmen,
festive holiday living rooms-whatever you dream up! Advent
calendars started in Europe centuries ago, and each week we'll
complete a different step: planning, drawing, cutting, and
"sandwiching" two layers (the cover and the small windows).
Glitter can be a finishing touch. As another option, there
will be ready-made black and white line drawings available
for coloring. The instructor, Local illustrator Kate Lanxner,
taught this class most recently in Geneva, Switzerland and
has marketed her original calendars for the past seven years.
